The Conservative party have released some shocking figures that over 2000 people in the UK claim benefits because they are too fat to work.
The cost to the taxpayer is now some £10 million pounds per year according to the press release. It also mentions that the statistics do not include people who have suffered other illnesses such as heart disease and diabetes due to being overweight.
The article also mentions that 190 people, under the age of 65, died in 2009 due to obesity. Shockingly, around half of all Britons are now estimated to be overweight with 17 per cent of men and one in five women classed as obese.
Many people are turning to diet pills to help them lose weight and stay healthy. Two of the leading diet pills are Proactol and Alli, both are proven weight loss aids.
